Tanya Hopkins is a Director within the Fixed Income Credit business at Barclays. In addition, she is the co-chair of Barclays’ Working Families Network (WFN) Americas, a networking organization which supports parents and caregivers at the firm. WFN sponsors events, advocates for family-friendly policies, and provides a forum for sharing best practices for more than 800 employees.
Tanya’s passion for helping families led her to form a working group focused on parental leave as a way to challenge gender-based assumptions regarding family responsibilities. She drove changes in Barclays’ policies to increase paternity leave to six weeks and increase flexibility for all new parents.
In 2015, Tanya was named Barclays’ Working Mother of the Year by Working Mother Magazine. Tanya holds an MBA from Texas Tech and a BS from Brigham Young University. She lives in Weehawken, NJ with her husband, Aaron, and their five fabulous children, Bjorn, William, Nathaniel, Madeline and Sonja.
