Monday, November 14, friends and supporters of the YWCA of the City of New York gathered at Marche Du Sud for the fourth installment of our Dinner by the Book series. Author Alyson Richman shared her new book “The Lost Wife” while guests enjoyed a southern French three-course meal in a private garden.

“The Lost Wife” tells the story of Lenka and Josef, who are torn apart by war and racism, and explores the resilience of the human spirit and the ability to overcome the odds. Alyson shared her inspiration behind “The Lost Wife” and how true-life stories of challenges with racism, empowerment, and personal experiences helped to shape her story.

The YW would like to thank Alyson for being a part of our continually growing Dinner by the Book series, and for sharing her story.
