A new movement that promotes cross-generational relationships and new opportunities for girls and women began in earnest on Monday, June 1, at the YWCA of the City of New York’s 21stCentury Potential to Power Girls Symposium. YWCA president Dr. Danielle Moss Lee kicked off the bold new campaign, officially christened as #YWWomanKind, at the annual event, held at John Jay College.

“At the YWCA’s unique Potential to Power Symposium, established women from the worlds of business, technology, politics, education and media come to hear from some of our best and brightest teens and young women,” said Moss Lee. “And this year, we elevated our commitment to forging meaningful linkages between influential women and the next generation of young leaders like never before.”
