YW Unveils High Tech Learning Lab

On October 17, the YWCA of the City of New York unveiled a state of the art Learning Lab at the Family Resource Center due to a generous grant from Time Warner Cable. This Learning Lab features Smart TVs, over 30 lap tops, iPads, and cameras. The Learning Lab will be home to many progressive YW programs including Geek Girls, Amplifying Multiple Perspectives Leadership program, and the Women’s Empowerment Network. The YW is beyond excited to be home to this tech hub where we can empower girls and women to enter and persist in the STEM field! Let’s close the gender equity gap in STEM!
