YWCA NYC Girls Initiatives hosted an exciting and informative panel discussion, Creating Change: Challenging Everyday Racism and Misogynoir (ingrained prejudice against black women). This free virtual event was led by YWCA NYC high-school-aged Girls Initiatives participants, who have gone through intensive bystander intervention training that prepares them to utilize their voice to empower others through advocacy.

Moderated by Vanne-Paige Padgett, Senior Director of Girls Initiatives, this webinar is part of the YWCA NYC Creating Change Conversations series that teaches strategies for addressing daily manifestations of racism, gender oppression, and sexual violence, and is part of our Black History Month events.
