On Wednesday, March 21, 2012, the YW’s Academy of Women Leaders (AWL), in partnership with the Proskauer Women’s Alliance, celebrated Women’s History Month by hosting a special panel discussion, focused on joining a corporate or non-profit board. Panelists discussed the role of women on corporate and non-profit boards, how to prepare for joining a board of directors, as well as what qualifications and skills are crucial to a board role. The evening concluded with a question and answer session followed by a lively networking reception.
