| The
Networking Project for Youth with Disabilities
Since 1984, the Networking Project has been providing opportunities
for young people with disabilities to socialize and gain vital skills
that facilitate independent living as adults. In workshops,
young adults learn how to: identify discrimination and fight stereotypes,
get a job that will lead to a self-sustaining career, travel independently,
use the computer for work or play, make decisions, communicate, set goals
and locate community resources such as housing, advocacy groups and transportation.
The Networking Project meets throughout the school year, from 12:00-4:00pm,
two Sundays a month.
