| The STEP Parenting Course
There is no job in the world more important than parenting. Not only
to maintain the health and well-being of a young child, but to prepare
him or her to take their place one day in the larger community.
In
the STEP Parenting course (Systemic Training for Effective Parenting for
Children under Six), parenting experts give you the tools to help foster
the potential in your child.
In this seven-week course, the following topics will be covered:
- Understanding children's development and behavior
- Recognizing what is and what is not misbehavior, and the purposes
of misbehavior
- The importance of self-esteem and how to foster it in our children
- Communicating with your child: how to talk and how to listen
- Fostering cooperation and problem-solving with children
- Encouraging self-discipline in children: natural and logical consequences
to behavior
- Effective discipline
- Nurturing children's social and emotional development
