The YWCA NYC stands against racism every day by raising awareness of the racism continues to impact the lives of millions of people.
Institutional and structural racism exist, but through building strong communities and working with young leaders in these neighborhoods, the YWCA NYC hopes to dismantle the structure that allows for racism to exist, and create a world of peace, freedom and justice for all.
The YWCA’s annual Stand Against Racism event provides the opportunity for communities to find their voices, to take a stand against an issue they encounter in their communities and lives, and advocate for themselves.
