Community Workshops

The YWCA of the City of New York welcomes all to its Community Workshops, held at the Family Resource Center in Hell’s Kitchen. These workshops connect you to entrepreneurs, business leaders, community advocates and other YW friends and partners who lead lively discussions and informative tutorials that provide tools for New Yorkers to succeed personally and professionally. Workshops are announced on our homepage, Twitter feed, Facebook page and notices posted throughout the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood.

The Family Resource Center is located at 500 W. 56th Street at 10th Avenue, right next to the blue John Jay College awning. All community members and friends are welcome!

The YW Celebrates Women’s History Month with a Community Workshop: Want to Start a Business?

On Monday, March 29th, fifteen men and women joined the YWCA-NYC for a community workshop, entitled “Want to Start a Business?” at the Family Resource Center. In honor of Women’s History Month, the event was an opportunity for prospective entrepreneurs to discuss the challenges and opportunities of starting a business with two successful women: Robin Cohn of Robin Cohn and Company and Elise James De-Cruise of AthletesWork.
