| (Last updated: August 22, 2007) Volunteer tutor opportunity Volunteer Title: Tutor (Math, Science, English) Objectives: The After School Program at Murry Bergtraum High School strives to empower youth to achieve long term success through programs that foster social development and arts enrichment. Duties and Responsibilities: • Arrive punctually at the library to begin program immediately after day school ends. • Provide individual and small group tutoring. • Design and implement small group activities to encourage student participation in library/tutoring activities. • Ensure that library equipment is respected and that library rules are followed. • Encourage at risk youth to succeed academically through providing an encouraging and structured environment. Qualifications and Requirements: • Experience with and enthusiasm for working with high school
