YW After School Students Break Ground on the P.S. 90 Student Garden
School may have been out for a week, but the YW After School students at P.S. 90 have been busy breaking ground on a new student garden. Students have begun measuring the school grounds, testing the soil, and preparing for spring.
The new student garden is part of the YW’s “Going Green” initiative, sponsored by HSBC North America. Students will learn the benefits of healthy eating, reducing waste, and composting by creating their own garden at P.S. 90.
