Yvette Vargas is Head of Talent Development & Diversity for UBS Wealth Management Americas. She is responsible for defining and leading an integrated talent management and diversity strategy. Yvette has more than 25 years of experience in key leadership positions with a variety of firms focusing primarily on talent management, performance management, career development, change management, diversity, and executive coaching.
Yvette joined UBS after consulting with the NY Federal Reserve Bank, where she assisted in implementing a talent review and succession planning process for their senior leadership. Prior to her work with the Fed, Yvette served as Head of Talent Management for Bank of America’s Capital Markets division. She has worked at JP Morgan Chase where she led talent management, performance management and diversity at a firm-wide level.
Yvette is actively involved her community. Yvette serves as a board member for the National Council for Research for Women and for Forbes Women’s Media. She has worked extensively with women and children through her volunteer work at women’s shelters in central New Jersey.
Yvette received her MS in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the Stevens Institute of Technology and her BA in Psychology from St. John’s University.
